Ramadhan is leaving...

The Holy Month of Ramadhan is leaving. I'm sad. Okay, I have to admit, I am very very happy coz it's Syawal, and there's Hari Raya!! Some of you guys know it as Eid Al-Fitr, but either way, it's still great!

But I'm still sad coz I know I didn't do quite well this year, even though it was better than last year, I still need to improve in my ibadah. I have to read the Quran more often so that I can khatam again. I also must wake up for Sahur earlier.

Next Ramadhan, I'll try to take better care of my health so that I won't fall sick and miss some of the fasting days, so that I don't have to replace it coz I wanna do some extra 6-day Syawal Fasting. It's not wajib, or obligatory, but it's a Sunnah. So I think I'd better do it.

Anyway, this Syawal, I'm gonna do some 6-day Syawal fasting. But first, I have to replace the 3 days that i didn't fast. It's a must to replace our missed days of fasting first BEFORE doing the 6-day Syawal fasting. So I've gotta do it.

I have to go to bed now. Wait for the Hari Raya post, ok?

McRitchie Reservoir

Today, I went to McRitchie Reservoir with my parents and baby brother. We rent a car and my father drove us there.

When we arrived, we walked to the café. We were confused and didn't know the way, until we saw a sign that tells us where the reservoir is. We followed the direction that the sign was pointing to and finally, we arrived at the reservoir. There was a bridge that leads us to a small gazebo. Too bad it was closed. It was a very nice gazebo, you know. Anyway, we took some beautiful pictures of the view of the reservoir from the bridge. Subhanallah, it was a glorious view. But, the pictures are on my phone, so I can't upload it here.

There was also a submerged bridge. It's really cool! I took some pictures of the view that I had there ( they're on my phone, unfortunately ). I got my shoes wet, but it was worth it. I got to see some water plants there.

After walking on the submerged bridge and taking pictures of the beautiful view, we stopped for a snack. We sat on the benches and ate some bread that we had brought from home. I felt tired, but I had fun as well.

But wait, the trip didn't end there. After eating, we realized that it was time for Zuhur. We headed to a mosque called
" Masjid Omar Salmah ". I thought it was a normal, ordinary mosque. But I was wrong. The mosque is located on top of a hill. The mosque is also an old-fashioned one, not the modern kind. This reminded me of the mosques that I usually see in my home country, Indonesia. Most of the mosques are like this.

After praying Zuhur at Masjid Omar Salmah, we went to Java Kitchen Restaurant and had lunch. After having lunch and buying some " Es Chendol ",
we finally went home.
