Bukber IMAS 2012

Today, I went to An-Nahdhah mosque to break my fast. I went there with my mother, father and baby brother. We rode a cab that my father had booked.

When we arrived, my mother went to the registration table with me and then took me to the 3rd floor where the children's area was. I went into the room and saw my friends Balqis, Aliyah and Amirah. I took a seat between Aliyah and Balqis and listened to the sisters. Then I saw Hanan and Aisyah.

When it was time to break our fast, Aliyah, Amirah, Balqis, Aisyah, Althaf (Aliyah's brother) and I gathered together to break our fast together. We atebsome rice with some other food. Yummy!! We ate and ate till we were full. So full that we can hardly move!

Then, we prayed Maghrib together. After, I went downstairs to find my mother as it was late. I called her and she said I had to go. So I went downstairs, to the busstop and saw my mother, brother and father. Then, we went home. My father stayed as he wanted to pray.

That's all for today! Now I have to go to bed!

Ramadhan is leaving...

The Holy Month of Ramadhan is leaving. I'm sad. Okay, I have to admit, I am very very happy coz it's Syawal, and there's Hari Raya!! Some of you guys know it as Eid Al-Fitr, but either way, it's still great!

But I'm still sad coz I know I didn't do quite well this year, even though it was better than last year, I still need to improve in my ibadah. I have to read the Quran more often so that I can khatam again. I also must wake up for Sahur earlier.

Next Ramadhan, I'll try to take better care of my health so that I won't fall sick and miss some of the fasting days, so that I don't have to replace it coz I wanna do some extra 6-day Syawal Fasting. It's not wajib, or obligatory, but it's a Sunnah. So I think I'd better do it.

Anyway, this Syawal, I'm gonna do some 6-day Syawal fasting. But first, I have to replace the 3 days that i didn't fast. It's a must to replace our missed days of fasting first BEFORE doing the 6-day Syawal fasting. So I've gotta do it.

I have to go to bed now. Wait for the Hari Raya post, ok?

McRitchie Reservoir

Today, I went to McRitchie Reservoir with my parents and baby brother. We rent a car and my father drove us there.

When we arrived, we walked to the café. We were confused and didn't know the way, until we saw a sign that tells us where the reservoir is. We followed the direction that the sign was pointing to and finally, we arrived at the reservoir. There was a bridge that leads us to a small gazebo. Too bad it was closed. It was a very nice gazebo, you know. Anyway, we took some beautiful pictures of the view of the reservoir from the bridge. Subhanallah, it was a glorious view. But, the pictures are on my phone, so I can't upload it here.

There was also a submerged bridge. It's really cool! I took some pictures of the view that I had there ( they're on my phone, unfortunately ). I got my shoes wet, but it was worth it. I got to see some water plants there.

After walking on the submerged bridge and taking pictures of the beautiful view, we stopped for a snack. We sat on the benches and ate some bread that we had brought from home. I felt tired, but I had fun as well.

But wait, the trip didn't end there. After eating, we realized that it was time for Zuhur. We headed to a mosque called
" Masjid Omar Salmah ". I thought it was a normal, ordinary mosque. But I was wrong. The mosque is located on top of a hill. The mosque is also an old-fashioned one, not the modern kind. This reminded me of the mosques that I usually see in my home country, Indonesia. Most of the mosques are like this.

After praying Zuhur at Masjid Omar Salmah, we went to Java Kitchen Restaurant and had lunch. After having lunch and buying some " Es Chendol ",
we finally went home.

Being a Student Leader

What a tiring day. A PTPC, duty, and... Lots of other stuff! I'm very tired. So far, today is the most tiring day that I've ever experienced. Maybe I'll have another tiring day, but, this IS the most tiring day.

Okay, just now I had to do many things, as I'm a Student Leader, or SL. It's cool being one, but you'll have to get used to doing hard work. You can't just relax once you've become an SL.

A Student Leader must be responsible for all the actions. He or she must take care of his or her responsibility as a Student Leader in order to be one for the rest of his or her primary school years.

Our job is to make the students more... Well-behaved. We have several duties that we must do without fear or favour. We must also set a good example to the others. We help the teachers to make the school's environment more disciplined and vibrant.

My Late Grandfather

Aaah.... My late grandfather.... Do you know how much I miss you?

You did many things to help our family, like working, and the other stuff. I really miss you. You are very loving and funny. You don't even care if you carry me, although you feel weak. When you were sick, you still made jokes. To me, you are a cheerful man who is very caring to your family.

When you died, I felt really down. You didn't even see my baby brother yet. Aaah... grandfather. You were the only grandfather that I have, ever since my other grandfather from my father's side departed. I only saw you for..... 8 years. I just wish that you'll going to Heaven with my other late family members. Oh Allah, make my grandfather happy in the 'Akhirah, Aamiiin.

The amazing.... nice-o-matic!

I've always been dreaming about a very, very, very cool machine called the nice-o-matic. It's a machine that makes all your wishes come true( the maximum wishes is 3. PER DAY!!).

How does this machine work? Well, this splendid machine needs happiness to work. So, if we want it to make our wish come true, we've gotta be happy, or else.... it'll huff, and puff, and blow your mood down. Then you'll never want to see it again coz it's haywire. It's true, you know! It goes the same when we want our parents to buy something we want, but we don't ask them politely and happily. We just, be rude. And then, they will huff, and puff, and blow our mood down ( I mean they will scold us.).But of course, they'll NEVER go haywire. So, we have to ask the nice-o-matic nicely and happily so that it would make our wish come true, just like what we'd do to our parents. After all, it is called the nice-o-matic!

So, let me continue. After we have enough happiness, we can simply ask the nice-o-matic very nicely, politely and happily(of course). And, we must say the word "please" to the nice-o-matic FIRST. Like this for example:

" Please, nice-o-matic, can you give me a new Vaio laptop?"

Heheee XD  But I've always wanted one! Anyway, you can say it in any way, any style, as long as the first word you say to the nice-o-matic is "please". That's the most important thing! Otherwise, the nice-o-matic will count that as a wish, even though the first word that you said was not "please". Plus, it'll put you in the "first-try blacklist of wish-tricksters", even though you're not a trickster.  And, there are only 3 tries. so, you've lost your first try, and left with only 2 tries. So, be careful! Most importantly, don't say any BAD WORDS ( such as f***, s***,etc. )  near the nice-o-matic! Then, you'll soon become a well-known trickster! Of course, no one wants to be a trickster. Only the 'ehm 'ehm ( I can't tell you what does "'ehm 'ehm" mean.)ones do.

Then, after you say the "please" thing, you'll need to wait patiently. The machine takes some time to grant your wishes and make it come true, you know. When your wish is ready;

(a) If your wish a thing, it'll come out through the giant hole in the nice-o-matic's side machine.
(b) If your wish is NOT a thing, like a moment, or a thought, or any OTHER stuff, it'll just.... well.. happen when the wish is ready. It's like... when the wish is ready, the wish will just happen on the spot(if possible only).

So, that's how the nice-o-matic works! Actually, the nice-o-matic is just MY imagination. But, I hope I can invent something like that in the future.

Yay!

Hey buddy!

Alhamdulillah, I was selected to go to the Haflah again!! If you don't know, "Haflah" means prize giving ceremony in arabic. And the good thing is, I was selected to be a prize winner! Oh Yeah! I've been to the haflah 2 times, actually. This is my 3rd time. Oh my! I'm so excited for the real Haflah. We've done 4 rehearsals today, which made me very tired. At least it's over! ^_^
